We would like to invite you to the 2016 Annual General Meeting of the Central Victorian Greenhouse Alliance, held at the Bendigo Town Hall Reception room on Friday November 25th starting at 1pm.
Minister Lily D’Ambrosio (Energy, Environment and Climate Change) will be launching the CVGA’s Resilient Community Assets project and five member Councils, as well as the Alliance itself, will be showcasing innovative initiatives that are marking central and northern Victoria as a region rapidly building momentum dealing with climate change issues.
The peak sustainability body for 13 local governments in regional Victoria, the CVGA, has generated over $50 million worth of new projects for the region since 2010 including:
· Lighting the Regions streetlight bulk buy
· Central Victoria Solar City
Starting in 2017 the Alliance will be delivering a number of new initiatives including two flag-ship projects:
· Low-Income Solar Project and,
· the ground-breaking Waste-to-Energy Micro Power Station Network
